Sherry Thomas, BS, RN, QCP, IPCO has 40 years of experience working in healthcare.
Sherry’s experience includes the entire continuum of care from acute care to many aspects
of post-acute care such as sub-acute, skilled nursing, assisted living, hospice/palliative care,
legal nurse consulting and risk management. Sherry has a proven record of achieving
excellent survey outcomes as well as Joint Commission accreditation in skilled nursing
centers. Her consulting work includes assisting nursing facilities with regulatory compliance
including mock surveys and risk assessments, survey recovery including assistance with
CMS Directed Plans of Correction and Directed and Inservice Training Programs as well as
education on clinical documentation requirements and DON training. Sherry also assisted
the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for the states of Missouri and Virginia during
the COVID-19 pandemic with outbreak management and vaccine compliance.
